Relief, A Natural Aspirin Alternative*
NutriBiotic Relief tablets contain salicin, which the body converts to salicylic acid and has the same effect on the body as aspirin without any of the harsh side effects. It is slowly converted in the body in comparison to the preformed acetylsalicylic acid of synthetic aspirin, so effects may last longer allowing smaller doses to be just as effective. Can I take Relief tablets if I am allergic to aspirin? - No, Relief tablets are formed from the same precursor (salicin) as synthesized aspirin. The only difference is Relief is metabolized in the body and synthesized aspirin is chemically produced in a stronger more dangerous form. How many milligrams of aspirin/salicin does each Relief tablet equal? - Each Relief tablet is equal to about 100 mg of aspirin/salicin. Does Relief interact with anything? - It is recommended that this product "should not be taken with aspirin or NSAIDs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) such as ibuprofen and naproxen". Taking these together may increase the risk of possible negative side affects. Are there any possible side effects to Relief tablets? - Relief may be safely taken long-term as long as the recommended dose is followed. If higher doses are taken, possible side effects include upset stomach, nausea, and/or ringing in the ears. If these side effects occur, discontinue taking the product. * This statement has not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.
